Hotelzzz

You're coming to California! Or, maybe you're already here! Either way, wooohooooooo!

A note on transportation--given that parking in San Francisco is generally terrible, rental cars are usually made by General Motors, and gas is freaking expensive, we highly encourage you to not rent a car while you're here. The hotels downtown are BART and taxi-friendly, the rehearsal dinner is also BART and taxi-friendly, and for the wedding and reception, we'll be running biodiesel buses from the wedding hotel to the wedding site. So, ta da!, no car needed.

We know that some of you may already have your favorite hotel in San Francisco, or your favorite couch to crash on when you're in town. For everyone else, we have reserved rooms in San Francisco's GREENEST eco-hotel chain: Orchard Hotels. (Don't worry--they actually have showers and toilet paper and everything!)

As of September 1st, our official hotel block has filled up, but both hotels still have rooms available at the same rates. If you haven't reserved yet, please do so soon by calling their Sales Directors directly. For both hotels, call Damien at 415-365-0304 or Ben at 415-343-0135 and tell them you're with the Pearson-Young wedding and slip them the super-duper secret code. You'll never guess what it is. Really, go ahead, try and guess. Whoa, you're good--"KARAOKE!"

We managed to choose a wedding weekend that also fell on a long weekend (Columbus Day! Indigenous People's Day! You're both right!), Fleet Week (Blue Angels!) and a massive surgical conference (Scalpel!) so unfortunately, our discounted rates are not quite as discounted as we would like.

The Orchard Garden Hotel
Wedding rate: $199/night
San Francisco's 'greenest' hotel, and where we'll be staying on Saturday night. Boutiquariffic!

The Orchard Hotel
Wedding rate: $169/night
A touch less new, a touch less green, but still groovy. In fact, it's ranked #4 out of 238 hotels in San Francisco on TripAdvisor.com.

The shuttles will be picking up at the Orchard Garden, but the Orchard is only 2 blocks away. They're both in the Union Square district, close to BART and all kinds of other good stuff.

Don't let those surgeons and jet-fighter enthusiasts snap up all the best rooms. Book early, and let us know if you have any problems.

Also, we know that these prices are, well, pricey, but we do have a number of generous friends with guest rooms and/or couches that they're willing to open up for the people we love. So, if you're interested shacking up with our local peeps, tell us and we'll hook you up.
